Car is leaking oil

Well I came home this weekend to get some heavy duty study time done and my dad informs me my car is leaking oil real bad. He took it out a week ago and said the oil light is on and if you look in the garage there is a puddle of oil. What could it be ? thanks guys

Where is it coming from? Front or back? More than likely the rear main seal.

I'm gonna pull it out tommorow and try to get under it and see if i see anything. I will take some pics while im under it. Not happy at all about it since I just replaced the heater core and was dumb enough to take it to Ford to have it replaced.

I would top that off before running it again. The light will not come on unless it's over a quart down. If it's in the front, it's possible that the front drain plug is stripped.

When I did my cam swap, I discovered my front main seal what totally worn out. Also, the 'low oil' sensor that plugs into the side of the pan leaks on mine, I still need to fix that too

Well I started her up and pulled her out for a second. The low oil sensor is not on and she has oil. My dad asumed it was oil by the stains in the driveway and garage. But she sat out in the driveway for no more than two minutes running then i pulled her back in the garage; I walk out of the garage and there is a puddle the size of a cookie and it looks like it is either powersteering or transmission fluid.

Are you sure there's no oil leak? Why would the sensor have been triggered? If it's coming from the front, it's more than likely power steering fluid. Check both the hose on the pump and the return line. I remember having a hole in the return line one time that caused the fluid to squirt out when the wheel turned. No fun.
