Car just stopped pulling...

Was crusing to work @60mph, ~2,000 rpms on the highway. All the sudden, it stopped pulling for about a full second. No sputtering, no lights flickering, just stopped pulling. Motor stayed at 2,000 rpms perfectly. Then it started pulling again and didn't happen again for the rest of my commute.

Sound like a bad fuel pump? Belt slip? Mind you, it is raining and pretty nasty here this morning.

I read it could be bad plugs or a bad fuel filter. Both of which are overdue for a change. I'm having those changed out the 17th so I'll drive like a big vagina until then

I doubt it's fuel filter or pump related, or else it would do it all the time under any kind of load. I bet you 5 bucks that you were sucking in enough moisture to get the MAF sensor elements moist. That would excessively cool them and fool the PCM into thinking there was a bunch more air coming in. The PCM will then add a bunch of fuel and the car will fall on it's face. As soon as the moisture is burned off the MAF sensor elements, the fuel trims will go back to normal.

Good thinking ... FWIW, one time my IAT sensor went bad and caused my car to cut (sort of) briefly in the acceleration range. It only happened once ... thought I'd throw that out there. You may want to take a look at your MAF and IAT just to see if they are clean ... Ain't gonna hurt ...
