Alright I drive a 3.8 but I figured maybe someone in here can help?
It all started yesterday, I went to work and it started rainin while I was working. The car was fine until then and I just filled it up all the way the day before and drove about 80 miles. I get in my car to go home and the car starts up funny, it is a 94 3.8 high mileage by the way, and the car is idling high with alitl shaking. I continue to drive home and I notice the check engine light is on. Im almost home so I figure Ill just get home and check it out. I then notice there is white smoke coming out of the exhaust the more I push the gas. So today I look and the car has white smoke and water comin from the tailpipes. I am told to put dry gas in and I do. I continue to let the car run to get the gas through. The car is acting normal now and I checked the oil which is fine and has no water in it. And I check the radiator which is full. The car seems fine except when I hit the gas there is a noticeable clicking noise...anyone got any ideas???

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

See http://www.troublecodes.net/Ford/
OR
See http://www.dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html for more descriptive help
OR
See http://www.mustangworks.com/articles/electronics/eec-iv_codes.html

Trouble codes are either 2 digit or 3 digit, there are no cars that use both 2 digit codes and 3 digit codes. Codes have different answers if the engine is running from the answers that it has when the engine isn't running. It helps a lot to know if you had the engine running when you ran the test.

Sounds like some bad gas, but hopefully your head gasket is safe
