I found out that all my couple month old motorcraft platium plug ( $3.99 a peice ) out fould from coolant because crack NPI intake, I swap in autolite 764 and car run like champ now :) . I bet copper burn better in cold weather. dont use platium in your car :notnice: .

:stupid: when i went to buy plugs last and i asked for copper plugs the guy behind the counter started to argue with me saying the car was "designed" to run on platinum. i said i know this, and id still like the copper. i dont mind changing them more often.

btw- last time i used the 764's they seemed to have a real short thread length. and that kinda scared me. is it the same with yours?

Yes ! its short threat, even with update motorcraft long threat one, I still alway check the torque every oils change ( its mean Im not using the car all day, so I can torque 13flb on cold engine ), NGK TR55 had long thread I beleive, next time it will go into my engine.
BTW the gas pedal seem harder and the car seem push alot alot harder, is this normal after spark plug change, i gap at .054 .car ran like new :) .

were your last plugs copper also? maybe slightly better throttle response? or just the classic "I swear it feels faster after that last oil change" mentality.

My last one was motorcraft platium plug. Dont really like platium, I do change plug whenever I feel like too. its cheap and easy, next time I will use ngk tr55, since its cheap and has full thread.
