car security

I know nothing about car alarms. I was looking around and it seems most are geared towards not letting people start the car. I'm looking for something that will keep people out of the car all together. I'm not sure what brands to look into. Are they very difficult to wire up? From looking around, some extra features I'd be interested in having would be the alarm signaling to the remote when, where, and why the alarm went off, remote start, and maybe a siren that screams RAPE! wait no I think you're supposed to scream fire

2 very hungry and pissed off pit bulls! fill inside with water and add piranha's, um nest of africanized bees! the list goes on! if someone wants in there going to get in!! dont matter what you do! best to keep it in sight at all times! and put away at night time! like me!no way to keep them out! they could smash your windows! bust your locking mechanism! slash your top if its a vert! the list goes on! an alarm is designed to warn people there an alarm inside and not to bother with it! not to keep them out! but to scare them off if they do get inside! sadly there is nothing to keep people out of anything! just deterrents!!!

ya if they want it they'll take it...or screw it up lol. The not starting part is definately a good thing. I only got security so i could unlock the doors and pop my hatch from the key lol. But you can go to a nice car audio place and look and compare all the features....The are not the easiest thing to install so unless your really electrically inclined just get it installed....heck its almost always included in the alarm price...

I got the vipder 5900 with the sst technology which gets me coverage from a mile away!! its a farther range from the older ones and I like it... I installed it my sell and am glad I did, its not hard to install just takes time!!
you have to figure out a good hiding spot for the brain etc. but yea, it has the features that I want and has the 2-way remote which tells u if its armed or not, if the door is open or trunk hood etc.
