I dont know whats going on. About three weeks ago my stock distributor blew up on me. I was fortunate enough to get a replacement off a 86 F250. When i got it in i went ahead and set the timing for 12 degrees, but when i was timing it with a gun, i did not disconnect the spount connector. i noticed after time the car seemed to run weird threw the rpm range. So i was going to re set the timing back to ten but while i was driving the car just died and now it doesnt start it just cranks and cranks until i drain my battery. So i pulled the distributor out and some of the teeth on the gear that runs the oil pump were grinded off/missing. What the hell causes that? So i just put new oil in it, new Auto lites, new motorcraft distributor and module, new cap and rotor and condenser, and the car will still not start still. One thing i have noticed is that when i crank it forever i dont smell any gas at all. Any help?
