Alright so, its been awhile since I've been on here but hoping someone can help an old friend get back on the road. I am having multiple issues with getting my 91 5.0 to start. I have had the car in storage for around 6 months and prior to storing I had just got adding some aluminum heads and had it running pretty good. But now it will not start at all. At first it would turn over but never actually crank. I also noticed that the fuel pump was continuing to prime when i turn the key to the on position and was not turning off after a few secs. like before. I read in other forum post of people having the same issue and it turned out to be a bad computer. So, i have about decided to just send it off to a company i found on ebay that says they will repair a9l, but now i have another problem. Now i cant even get it to turn over without "jumping" the solenoid. I bought both a new solenoid and starter and its still doing the same thing. When i turn the key it does nothing, not even a click, but if i jump the solenoid by touching the starter trigger wire to the terminal with the positive battery cable, the car will turn over like before but still will not crank. Any ideas what could be going on? Do you guys think i have a bad computer? I looked at it but didn't see any signs of corrosion or burning. Did the auto parts store sell me a bad solenoid? bad ground? Thanks in advance.
