Well the ICU, ignition switch has been replaced in the past couple of days and still the same problem occurs. The problem is that the car will not get spark. It gets plenty of fuel and sometimes it will start right up. If anyone could help it would be very appreciated.

Sorry for sounding um... mean, but what is the ICU? Intensive Care Unit is the only thing that comes to mind. Welcome to StangNet by the way! No spark makes me think TFI. We usually get asked about this once or twice a week, so searching that out will give you tons of info, and maybe what other peoples' solutions were. Good luck!

Yeah, there was a thread about this earlier. But I thought it was the PIP in the dizzy? Or maybe the TFI=PIP. I can't remember, too many damn names for the same part.

I think PIP is the part inside the distributor, that you need to pull the gear off to get at. You're right though, there's too many different names. This has been coming up quite a bit lately, so I'm sure there has to be an answer by page 2?

The TFI supplies modified spark. You said that you have 'fuel' (not sure what you meant by that - it can mean injector firing or simply fuel pressure). If you have injector pulsing, the PIP is fine. If that is the case, look for a bad TFI, ignition coil, etc. Parts stores can bench test TFI's. If that was replaced already, I would look at the coil and upstream of the TFI. Do be real sure you have injector pulsing or you could end up chasing your tail.

What codes are stored?

Good luck.
