I have a 2002 v6 mustang. I have been having a problem where sometimes when I go somewhere and turn the car off it will not start. The first time it happened I thought it was the fuel pump. It had spark but I sprayed starting fluid in the throttle body it started and then it died. I tried again and it started and kept running. Long story short it has gone for a while no problems but the last 3 days it has done it every day. It just turns over like it's not getting gas but then after a few minutes it starts like nothing's wrong. Today it stalled out and then wouldn't start at all. Had to get it towed home. Tried again..nothing. sprayed starting fluid in it and it started up and ran. I put a new fuel filter on it a couple of weeks ago when it did it and it ran great after that so I thought that was the problem but I guess not. I've been driving it 13 yrs and it's never had a fuel pump put on. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be? I thought maybe the fuel pump is just slowly dying on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated .Thanks everybody.
