so i was putting my new taillights in today and i turned on the radio in the car thinking itd take about 20 minutes but then it started taking a lot longer because i got pre occupied and started cleaning the car too and basically i drained the battery. So it wouldnt start and I tried jumping it but that wouldnt work either, it turned over and clicked but wouldnt start. So do you guys think i need a new battery or need to charge it?? I was thinking maybe its the alternator I've been meaning to get a new one for some time now.
. then i went with a 3g 130amp alternator. honestly, try pop starting it or jumping it again. if you can get it to start, take it over to an autoplace that switches batteries and stuff like sears automotive and have them run a test on it. another thing i can think of is one of your terminal cables on the battery not have a clean connection to the battery. take off the + and - and clean both sides of the battery and make sure to re-tighten the terminals. a loose terminal can cause the alternator not to charge the battery up that great and cause your battery to die. keep posing if none of this helped
