I did ALL suppoeting mods for this car including fuel pressure regulator and gauge. I fired it up and it will just sit there loping and not wont to stay running. If i hit the gas it doent help. The gas pedal and butterfly on tb are unresponsive. I mean it moves but it wont rev the car up when it is loping before it dies. I cant even time it because it wont stay running long enough. I swear that I put the dizzy rotor at 12:00 pointing to number 1 piston. I got tdc on the compression stroke. What else could it be. Or should i try and start over with the distributor and tdc.

You mentioned that you have a new FPR, am I right to assume it's adjustable? If so, did you adjust the pressure close to factory spec with a gauge with the vacuum line off? If you didn't, that is a huge contributing factor. If your fuel pressure is way out of spec your motor will run down right terribly and/or die continuously.

You sir are a genious. That was it. Im new to the adjustable fuel pressure regulator thing. SHE'S ALIVE!. Now i have to wait till this week to get some gm synchromesh for the tko and a shifter as well. I also have some other bugs to work out as well. Leaky header, coolant leak. WTF, why me?

Give some more specifics about the leaky header (leaking from where? header to head, header collector to h/x-pipe?) and the coolant leak (where is it leaking from, etc) and maybe we can figure that out too.

Im gonna go tinker with it later and then ill post up. Ill have to see. The coolant drip stopped after 5 minutes of running and i left the engine running for a bout 20 more minutes. Its the weirdest thing.
