Carb cost????

how much cfm was a stock 1969 4v 351w carb rated at?

ok i don't have all that much money and im getting a 358w short block and i just got a pair of original 1969 Ford 351W heads These heads have been ported, have screw in studs and guide plates,and roller rockers with posi-locks. The intake valves are 194s and the exhaust are 160s. Stainless exhaust valves and hard seats High performance valve springs to see pic of heads go to my garage. now i need to no what cam intake and carb to get i was thanking edelbrock air gap intake road demon 625 to 750cfm and edelbrock rpm cam and lifters or rollin thunder cam and roller lifters but i thank that will eat to much gas what do you guys thank i should do?

this is my first car i got it when i was 15 im 21 now and just getting it to where i want but need help any 1 have any tips on what i should do??

I think you would be alright up to a 650cfm on a stock 351W.

its not a stock 351 its a 358 and i dont think there is a road demon 650 so i guess i would have to go with the 625 or a speed demon 650cfm

if you wont mind rebuilding one. Ive got a holly 600 4 barrel with vac secondaies
35 plus s/h
I have the holly number for the rebuild kit. it was a holly built for ford.

I'd start talking to USAF46270. What he has is probably the exact same as I have on my 351C. Bought that carb for the P.O. when I thought he was going to be my future son-in-law. For 35 bucks, its a steal (EDIT: Like about $200 off) - even if you have to install the "Power-Valve Backfire Safety". All things (cam,porting,rockers, etc) being equal; 2V Cleveland heads flow better than any factory-stock W heads, so my .030-overbored 357 Cleveland has the potential to suck more air than your Windsor. The 600 CFM Holley is highly recommended for that block; unless you're going with lotsa valve lift and planning on keeping the RPM's above 3500.

BTW how did you get 358? Did you go .035 over?

i don't have the 358 yet im going to buy it (0.40 over bore) (Actual 358CID!)
and i had to send the heads back
