I assume you mean the carbon fiber look right? If so, then I don't think it looks very good. I think the only time it would look good would be on a black or true blue car..

As for painted carbon fiber hoods well, I think they look ok but then they will look like any other hood. The weight savings won't be that great either as the stock one is some sort of composite material anyways..

Thanks!!

It's a personal prefrence thing. I think it looks awesome, while others say ricey.

Remember, you can see the carbon fiber weave on the F40 (made the paint thin to save weight!), and the Commemorative Edition Z06

lmao you guys are funny... I agree on most colors it doesn't work. And yes even on mine reactions are going to be hit or miss but...

The worst thing about CF is the weave reflects badly in pics.

Oh and the weight savings, I can take the hood off my car by myself, it took my brother and I to get the stocker off.

The stock hood... is way too heavy. A CF hood would give great weight savings.. and to me, I think it looks great.

my hood I got from muscle car direct, the price even after shipping is still less than what the normal non-sale price is. I was/am super happy with it.

Plain CF looks ok on some cars, depending on the color of the rest of the car. But CF hoods are good in general, especially on our cars where the front end is wayyy too heavy to begin with. Moving the battery to the trunk and CF hood are on my list of eventually to-do's lol

So its only rice if you dont paint it? Why paint it? You spent all this money to have a superior hood than the rest....just to hide it?

I'm on the fence honestly. I think what a few people have done... painting the hood but leaving some CF looks really awesome. I'd like to do something like that eventually, but for now I just dropped mad coin on the hood... I'm not gonna paint it and I don't mind the comments. I was actually surprised how many compliments I've got. So far the only negative has been on the internet. :SNSign:
