But I am looking forward to meeting you all, so stop by the SVT display and say HI.

:worship: I'm throwing some pics up on my Cardomain site now.Project 77 said:I Didn't see anyone but Phil this weekend, left two messages with Jon. 7 II's all together in the showfield 3 kings, 2 cobra's, and 2 coupes. one King Cobra in the corral that was a red har top 4 speed car with ALOT of bondo and very poor body work. They were asking $9900. One 77 2+2 V-8 T-top car with 61,000 orig. miles, $5500...This was a VERY nice car. Rained friday night, Sat, and part of sunday, bought stuff for my 95.

I spent all my time looking for parts on friday and Saturday was a mess. friday was all business. found a good amount of nice parts for my 77. friday, after walking through 90% of the show, my back started to hurt and mentioned to Tim I had to sit so we went to the hotel. So friday was parts day. Saturday came and was a mess!!! cold and wet. I had my wife and 7 month old daughter in the carriage i was pushing and felt really bad. we stayed long enough to see the II's, stopped at SVT (got a really nice keychain) but didn't make it up your way. I didn't see Phil or you and I am sorry for that and i mentioned to Tim that I did regret not seeing you guys this weekend. Were you there with your II? i had on a white 77 cobra ii shirt, but i didn't see you. i did manage to find one really, exceptionally nice MII part.
1970impala said:hey Brian, did you by any chance buy the 4 pinto rims that a guy was selling for 50.00? i am soooooo f pissed I missed them. Went back on saturday and the guy said someone just bought them.![]()

Project 77 said:Nope...that wasn't me. The only things i bought were some NOS mustang II badges for a hatchback and NOS running horse emblems with the II behind them, and a clock. I was walking all day friday, and sat, and sun. spent $600 on sunday on my 95. came within an eyelash of buying a red and white 67 F100 but there was just to much rust. Guy with the red King in the corral was a jackass, tried telling me the car was never touched when you could see the doors wer both nothing but bondo, i was suprised whe i saw someone leave with it

My plan was to go to Carlisle Saturday and play it by ear (Carlisle is a 4 or 5 hour drive). I was planning on taking the camping stuff, fire pit, grill (I make world class ribs) and bumb a site to pitch my tent, or come home. I'm real flexable.
I woke up Saturday and checked NOAAs page for Carlisle .... Forcast high of 62 .... I checked the national weather map, there was a mass of water heading to central PA ... checked the State College map, rain over Carlisle ...
Bull Shyte. Been to Carlisle twice. Both times it was cold, raining and miserable.
Next time I go it will be a pleasent weekend.

Yup, I missed out on Nashville but was assigned SVT trailer duty for Carlisle, which forced me to miss my own son's graduation! But I got to meet and talk to a lot of the II owners who stopped by, and I even had my silver King on display in the T building. There were some nice IIs in the field, and I think an orange King was in the winners' parade. (Cold and nasty rain on Saturday, tho!)
I'm scheduled to work the FFW in Norwalk, and plan on driving my King down from Detroit, so please visit the SVT display and look for me. I'll scrounge up a goody for you.
BTW: I saw your "letter to the editor" in Mustang Enthusiast magazine a while back about more II articles -- thanks for the plug! You should know that I wrote a "Final Lap" column that's supposed to run in the next issue that was entitled: "It's time for Mustangers to finally accept the II" -- I hope they run it without too much editing!
Also, I'm close to lining up a body/paint man for my 78 Cobra II project car -- but it's still a few years and lots of $$$ from getting to a show ... the ol stock King will have to suffice for now!
... see you in Norwalk!
