We’re sizing and trimming new carpet for the convertible. Going good so far. Obviously I’ll need some adhesive here and there for a nice tight job. What is the best user friendly product for this task?

Molded carpet isn't supposed to be glued. Custom shops would glue a "cut and sewn" job to keep it in place and keep it looking good, but that won't be necessary ( in any place) with a molded set like you pictured.

Thanks everyone. It’s actually setting in pretty good without any adhesive. I might try the carpet tape idea in a few spots. One in particular at the back of the console where I slipped and the knife cut longer than I wanted. Most of that will be hidden when the console is in but there still a small slice I’d like to hold in place.

I did get some spray on adhesive I’ll use for map panels, carpet pieces that go on rear side panels and plastic and insulation that’s on the inside of the doors.

I got to painting the interior parts. Got a bit worried because the finish was splotchy. No matter how many coats I put on, splotchy! Followed all the instructions too.

Then I solved the dilemma. VHT matte clear as the final coat. That eliminates the splotchy look and oddly darkens the final a slight bit. In these pictures you’ll see the splotchy part next to the ones with matte clear as a final touch.
