cast or aluminum

which heads do our cars some stock with aluminum or cast iron i think its cast iron i have a 94 gt and am replacing the heads gaskets agin

they aren't aluminum. and they weigh about 50lbs each. I think they are cast iron.

i used the same head bolts and i think they stretched out to much cause when i added coolant it started to leak and that was before the system was pressurized so i am replacing the bolts and not wanting to take a chance soing the gaskets as well though they have no miles on them and only started the car once since the rebuild i still think i should

They are iron heads stock. You'll know right away when you go to pull them off and your nuts pop out of your bean bag because their so friggin heavy.

yah didnt think any thing of it i did it at the school i go to and my teacher didnt say any thing about it and it was done then the leak so i am really pissed

yea i bust my yambag lifting my iron gt40's all the time.


i think you shoud hit your teacher
