Took my Stang to Les Schwab on Fri to get the alignment checked cuz the LF tire has alot of wear on the inside shoulder. In fact.....its bald!! It drives like crap on the freeeway. (finds the ruts) The tech said I need to get the
CC plates so he would be able to adjust it to get rid of my problem. Wouldn't drilling out the rivets from the factory and re-positioning the strut achieve the same thing?? Or should I get the CC plates?? Did some looking on the Internet and I got the idea that CC plates were mostly for lowered cars. Thats not true is it?? I appreciate the input

That's when everyone recommends using C/C plates is after lowering it to get precise alignment. Even if you haven't lowered it, it would be a wise investment. Something to think about...

where is Nick? he does (or did) alignments for Ford for a living (amongst other things he did there). he had some nice sounding info about doing what you propose, WildSB. he might see this thread and post.

good luck.

i cut a coil off my stock springs and then broke the rivits and moved the factory CC plates. the car drives prefectly straight down the road but i believe this to only be a temporary fix. i think getting adjustable CC is the right way to do it. you can pick up a pair from Central Coast Mustang for about $100-$110 bucks if you dont want to spend alot of money. just a thought.

Cool. Thank you all for your input. I figured moving the factory plates was a temp fix and CC plates would put this problem to bed. Thanks Guys!!
