Best to go ahead and install plates at the same time as the springs. I wore a good set of tires out because the toe couldn't be adjusted enough to compensate for the lower springs

You know... with a little bit of care you can modify your stock plates for a bigger range.

Just don't mangle them like this (unknown) guy did...

Alot of guys will tell you they've done it with no problems. If you're really on that tight a budget, and doing the install yourself, go ahead and put in the springs and see if it can be aligned to spec. If not then you can A) elongate the holes in the strut tower to give yourself more adjustment or B) spring for the c/c plates.

Oh yeah...., c/c plates have nothing to do with toe-in. They will give you more camber and caster adjustment but that's it.

How tight of a budget are you on? Sometimes you can find UPR four-bolt CC plates for around $140-$150 on ebay. They are more than adequate.
