Should I bother with the stock catback Is it really that restrictive?? Or should I just get an X-Pipe with highflow cats? Also will The new X-Pipe make my stock exhaust louder/deeper?

id leave the cat back stock. i would try to get a off road pipe. and anything is better then stock. and it will be louder, catted or not.

In my opinion, I would start with the Xpipe first, then change the catback later. And yes, it will make it louder.

Stock Catback isn't that restrictive..but accompanied by an x pipe your going to get alot more air flowing with an aftermarket catback.

The stock cat-back with a high-flow X midpipe would sound good, plus give you much better flow since the stock cat back isn't very restrictive.

The stock cat back is not mandrel bent like most aftermarket cat backs are, so you will have more narrow spots in the bends for exhaust to blow through, which will add more back pressure. But if you add a high-flow midpipe, I think you would be happy.

Looking back on things, I would have left my stock cat back on and gotten a Magnaflow catted X. That would have been ideal. It wouldn't be too loud, but it would sound good and be more powerful.

I would say the midpipe first as well, but i'm not as sure as everyone else on how good it will sound. When I only had mine on the car, it kinda sounded like a 6er on steroids. Sounds alright, but just wasnt the strong v8 tone I wanted. If your gonna get the o/r x-pipe, get the catback in the future. The x makes a more raspy sound than your stock h, or a o/r h.

Things are going to flow a lot better with a 2.5" catback and a 2.5" midpipe, rather than the stock catback which is 2.25"

Another vote for midpipe first altough I would suggest an offroad. Put my Prochamber on love the sound now. Sounds about like stock at idle and normal cruising but when I crakc on it has a nice snarl and people can tell something is different but their not sure what. Of course there is a little drop in low RPM torque but that's nothing 4.10's didn't already have taking care of.

My vote would be get the catback first!! But I'm assuming with a Mach the catback will be sufficient... Dont need to change the mid pipe right away!!
