Installed a catch can for the PCV system today. Costed something like 45~50 bucks total for everything.. so hopefully there'll be no more oil going into the intake anymore!

But here's the really exciting part... My Pro-5.0 shifter came in the mail today (only two days total - thanks Latemodel Restoration Supply!) and I've got 4 quarts of GM Syncromesh as well sitting in the garage right now, so that'll be tomorrow's project. I can't wait!

whats sad is that is illegal in CA. those things help the car out a lot yet we cant do them because its modifying the PCV system.

It looks like an industrial type unit you'd see on lines for an air-compressor.

It is. I was looking for a mini-sized one at the Home Depot but couldn't find any. The larger one was around twenty bucks. It fits tightly in between these two radiator hoses (I think - they get really hot) in the back there. I also bought a shut-off valve too because it looks kinda cool IMO. Best thing about the setup is that it all easily comes out as just one piece, just like how I installed it.

It's an Amflo model from Home Depot. Here's the write-up which inspired me... http://www.omslaw.net/tech/catchcanmod.htm
