my cd player will not work at all (it is the stock mach 460) its not the common will not eject cd problem. i dunno whats wrong-i went to switch cd slots and there is like this hissing/sizzling kinda noise. nothing ejects-nothing plays. the radio still works though any idea on what could be wrong? tom. im gonna go hold the eject button because that is supposed to eject them all instead of selecting each 1 individually

Is it really cold there right now? Did you wait for your car to warm up? I had the same problem the other day when it was about 30 degrees, my player wouldn't eject anything until my car was warm enough on the inside to heat up the player, then it works as normal. Good luck.

If your car is a 2002 you should be covered under the warranty. I just had my mach 460 replaced in my 2001 under the factory warranty for a similar problem.

Just had mine replaced about 2 weeks ago. It had CDs in slots 1 and 2 but said they were empty, but when you tried to load into either of those slots it would hang up and give the CD error message.

If they had label stickers on them, yeah. They'll probably replace it but tell you that was the cause.

The mach 460 definitely doesn't like the after market labels on cd's.

there are no labels or anything on the CD-R's the most that is on it is something written with a sharpie marker which (i dont think) would make a difference.

I was just at my Ford dealer today and there was a flyer up in the service center saying to *only* use a sharpie to label your cd's.
