alright guys so i threw code po190. all this started happening after i got it tuned and got new pumps installed. alright first off i went to get a dyno tune with all my mods it maxed the fuel pump so i bought twin cobra pumps and one day it threw the code while i was waiting to get the new pumps installed and a retune and the car wouldnt start anymore so they also fixed it by putting in a new frps and then tuned it with the new pumps.

all seemed fine and dandy then i just got the code back again! all this has started from the moment i got it tuned. while running on the kb tune i didnt have a single problem till i went for a tune.

what the heck is going on?
 
P0190 Wiring fault to FP sensor

Looks like a problem in the Fuel pressure sensor circuit. Either a bad FPR sender or a wiring fault to the FPR sender.

Has the wiring harness to the FP sensor been extended or repaired?

P0190 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction (FRP)

The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the FRP sensor to the PCM for VREF voltage. The test fails when the VREF voltage from the PCM drops to a voltage less than a minimum calibrated value.

VREF open in harness.
VREF open in sensor.
VREF open in PCM

Verify VREF voltage between 4.0 and 6.0V.

DD15 WIGGLE TEST THE FRP SENSOR CIRCUIT WHILE MONITORING FRP PID FOR SUDDEN VALUE CHANGE

Access FRP V PID.
While monitoring FRP V PID, tap on the FRP sensor; then wiggle the wiring while looking for sudden changes in the PID voltage as an indication of an intermittent fault.
Is a fault indicated?
Yes:
REPAIR as necessary.

NO:
Unable to duplicate/identify fault at this time. GO to Z1 .

na neither. none of the wiring has been touched. it did this on the stock pump with bap we thought it might have been the bap. unhooked that and put in 2 GT pumps and its still doing it. every now and then on the highway it will drive fine then let out a big hiccup then be fine again.
 
Problem with FP sensor itself!

I get the impression that you think the problem is with the fuel pumps or related components. The DTC is very specific. The problem involves the fuel pressure sensor or the wiring to/from the sensor. The PCM monitors the FPR sensor circuit. When it detects a break in the circuit, the P0190 DTC results. So this DTC is not a result of a fuel pressure "blip" or anything (other than wiring) external to the fuel pressure sensor itself.

Check all electrical connections to/from the FPR sensor. Ensure they are clean and tight. If no problem is found, then it will be necessary to expand to the search to other connectors between the engine and the PCM.

The KB install didn't require relocation of the FPR sensor?

Of course this is a possibility this is the PCM itself. IMO, it is way too early to be thinking about that possibility until the other more common causes are ruled out.
