I was surprised to see that both of my front springs were BROKEN on my 95 Cobra. I was adding a set of Eibach Sportlines and found two broken spring in the front, one of which I had to torch out it was rusted so bad. Here is the pic.

I was shocked about the first one. I said "look honey at how f**ked up this is". Then I took the second spring out and WOW. Then it was worse on the second because I had to break out the acetyline torch to get lower part out.

I got the pic back up. Wierd that it dissapeared. The springs looked fine if I took the wheel off. It wasn't until I pulled the springs from the front and a piece of spring was left on the perch. I wonder if it has something to do with the rubber on the lower damper wearing out.

All fixed up now though! Down 2" and rides smoooooooth. :D

ha! happened to me too! they came out nice and easy tho! today i did the springs on my 88(a GA car, not a RI car), and the damn things were in great shape! (there is only 80K on her). on the cobra, i had to pry those damn things out, they minus well had been welded on!

The moral of this story is to never trust that everything is working good! I constantly do PM on my car so I don't have problems like this but another shortly occurs! I love Mustangs but damn the breakdown alot. Especially when modified. Those mod parts just suck nowadays!
