Well, I don't know how many of you have been following my miserable trek to respectable HP, but I just changed from a Holley 750 with vaccume secondaries to a BG Speed Demon 650 with mechanical secondaries.

It was a nice little jump from 251 HP to 273 and 292 # of torque. Also I no longer fall flat at 5000 rpms. Still figure I'm about 25 HP shy of where I should be, but it does feel nicer. The secondaries now open up much quicker and with more authority. Thus far I've only driven it about 12 miles, but it seems a lot spunkier.

I'll include my sig to show what combo I'm running and I'm still open to any suggestions as to where I can get additional power.

Congrats !!!!

Which Holley did you have ? I need to order a carb, and I'm debating between a Holly Street Avenger and a Speed Demon.

351, Twisted Wedge heads, Stealth intake, C4, 2800 Stall Converter, 3:50 Traction Lock

I had the 7160, and it was dependable for about 3 years. No where near the response of the Speed Demon. I originally went into my shop interested in a Holley double pumper. My mechanic talked me into the demon. So Far (and I just got it) I'm really happy with the grant
