Funny story since this was brought up.
I decided to change my fuel filter about a week ago, don't remember why I decided to, just did.
So I pull it into a bay at a dealership where i detail cars, spot it easily, and pop one of the rubber hoses off. Depressurizing a gas tank was apparent to me, well, not then.
So, gas is all over my clothes now, and I have 5 hours left of work, I figure WTH and keep going.
We get it off, get the new one on, and then realize we broke one of the plastic "pins" that hold the hoses on. So, with 1/2 hour to go until NAPA closes, my buddy runs and gets a 5-pack. Comes back, and we're good to go. My buddy (this says a lot for Honda mechanics) is the one who put the new clip in and put those hose on.
A (smarter) mechanic had earlier said there is no way we should be able to pull this hose off if put on properly....
So, to test its strength, I pull on the hose. At eye level, pressurized gas comes SHOOTTTING out on my face, eyes, body, etc.
Don't know if any of you have had the pleasure of gas in the face, but that **** burns.
Turns out the genious Honda mechanic hadn't put the clip over the little nipple in the line. 15 seconds later, and one kid with his head in the sink, and it was done.
Funny now, then, that **** hurt.
