Cheap PLenum

ummm......NO. there's a BIG difference in a claim & being able to back it up. no spacer is gunna put down 8+rwhp

I didn't say it was guaranteed to put down 8rwhp, just said it claimed to, just like the plenum ads do and the spacer ad does:

http://www.mustangtuning.com/mu4gtinsp1.html .

Only way to know for sure is a before & after dyno run. But if this guy was trying to save money on a cheap plenum, I was trying to give him a less expensive alternative. I've seen guys on this and other forums say they've dyno'd after installing after-market plenums and gottten only 1-2 rwhp, if that. Caveat Emptor.

Skeptics should address the advertisers not the messenger.

the messenger apparently knows better, & shouldn't spread something he knows full well isn't true. & if ya want to get all technical like, very few dyno runs couldn't be argued after being done

Man, have someone remove that hair up your a$$.

The truth is, I don't know for a fact whether or not the spacer helps to get 7-8rwhp. Stop putting words in other people's mouths. Like I said only dyno runs can prove it. This info is already on the internet on Mustang Tuning and Steeda's websites. Take your BS to them.

no said hair to be removed. i'm just stating it the way it is. if you don't like it, learn what your trying to talk about, come back, & try again skippy. & here is the problem with what you said...........

you said go get this product it has the same claims. the guy goes & gets it (hoping to save some money), realizes it didn't do anything, & then has to turn around & buy the right part. that's money spent twice. most people don't have the money to be spending twice. so ya see....i'm just looking out for him. & ya know what, i'd do the same for you if you posted a thread & someone else was spewing out misinformation

Stangman- one not arguing with you. But how many people can feel a 5-8 hp increase? I know you can see it on the dyno or in track times but FEEL it?
Ok on the spacer deal here is a theroy I read most of the better aftermarket ones are taller the same as a stock plenum with a spacer. IF you were to port the peices to match would you get an increase in power? Just wondering since the spacer was already brought up.

Please stop putting your words in other peoples' mouths. Your take is not what I said. Everyone has to make up their own mind in the end. (CAVEAT EMPTOR- MF) Now go away............. but before you do, prove to everyone that a spacer doesn't do what it's advertised to do. Otherwise, you are just spreading your assumptions.........and if your proof is backed up by facts, I will go along with it.

i'm not putting words in anyones mouth. you said it, didn't know what you were talking about, deal with it. i ain't mad :) & just cause you were wrong don't try & point the other way & take the attention away from the point. it's been done, if you want proof, go do some research

If you're on a tight budget (like most of us) you might be better off just getting an intake spacer for $40. Same HP claim for much less money:

BooWFo - it's never really a 'feel' factor. heck the biggest mods i've done to my car, i've actually 'felt' the least gain, but yet picked up 20+ rwhp.

& yeah if you were to go about it like that (with the plenum spacer & ported plenum), i'm sure it'd work out well. how well not a clue, butyou'd definately pick up some. a engine is basically a big air compressor, the faster you can get air in & out, the more efficiently it works

Hunter-white - i apologize for the hijack. i won't contribute to it from here on out :nice:

People make up their mind on proven facts IE: Dyno results and actually hold and using the product.

Do you actually believe in 'advertized' hp??

Its like a cat-fight in here. Being a newbie to Stang's....although a quick learner.....I do look to this place for advice. If someone has direct knowledge or research proven facts...then I like to hear the claims. If its just a thought or suggestion, label it as such. When I respond to a thread, I preface it with "I don't know shi!@#"...but here's my opinion!

But again...as I've read a million times on here....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! If its cheap, then you're getting cheap *****
