I just got my car back running from changing motors and now the check engine light is on. The code is 332 insufficent egr flow detected. What all could be causing this?

broken vac line to the egr valve. mine throws that code like everytime I drive it. Its becaue my vac lines broke and i have then held together with a piece of rubber hose. Not sure if it can get cloged up inside or not

That sounds right. when i changed motors i changed to a trick flow intake and the egr vacume line was to short to reach so i had to get another one that was laying around the shop and it doesnt fit tight.

If you notice detonation, fix it ASAP.

Good luck.

if the hose checks out ok, hows the gasket? also maybe the egr tube has a pinhole or crack. just some other areas to look at.

You can apply 5-6" hg of vac to the nipple on the EGR valve and watch the diaphram travel. A bad diaphram can cause it to not move much. Also one can remove the valve and clean it out (they coke up). This can also reduce the flow (the debris in there causes the inert gasses to bottleneck).

It takes 5 mins or so to remove the EGR valve (two bolts or nuts, the feed pipe [soak it in PB first] and the vac line. I think that is it).

Good luck.

Can someone post a pic of the vacume line that runs off of the egr valve and the others so I will know I have all of them in the right place.
