Hello, I'm new here and looking for some feedback on our new RSC-GT Mustang. We are scheduled to go into production on this car by year end. They are a steel body conversion completely reskinning the car from the top of the doors down. The car is over a foot longer and 3" wider at the quarters. We'd like some constructive criticism or any positive input you may have. Some things are subject to change depending on input. Thanks for looking, Tony

i dont like the hood or rear end section . just my opinion

I'm not sure what to think. Hrm... I guess there's just too many things done to it to make it look like a 67/68. It looks like someone wanted a '67, but couldn't find one, so they made their own. Kind of like the S197 kit for the SN95. I like the taillight panels and the rear hips. The hood isn't bad. The side is too plain and really makes it look like a kit car. The side scoop/recess doesn't fit the body right.

A lot of time and money went into it, and for what it is, it was done well. But I think it's over the top. It would look a lot better with modern versions of most of the modifications.

Well, the idea was to kinda go backwards and use less of the modern stuff. Unfortunately you can only do so much to a production car, we did not want to reinvent the wheel we just wanted to add more of the old styling cues to the new chassis and in the meantime maintain the warranty, crash zones, airbag sensors etc. for DOT and legal reasons.

i like it. but i would shorten the height of the hood scoop towards the front of the car just a tad. otherwise it looks great

The hood design is going to go, we have another one under way, we may offer a couple of choices on hoods..Glad you like it...T

I agree with DarkFire alot. The back looks good except all the stuff going on with the bottom of the bumper I would buy the rear panel treatment for the tail lights The front is too much. It reminds me of Sid from Ice Age.

It would probably look better without the bottom "bumps" on the bumper and the scoop needs to be set further back(and smaller)as wolfkiller mentioned. Perhaps more the KR style scoop would look more appealing to me as well. The hips look awesome Overall I give a B+. The only drawbacks are the above mentioned items.

Honestly, aim for more subtlety and not so 'in your face.' Too much goin on in front view and back view while side view just looks like an unsuccessful attempt to change the 08 into something more retro. 20" wheels IMO are tre' ghetto'

As you probably know, be certain of your market segment/niche and price points.

No intent to disparage, but I wouldn't have one.

I think it looks alright, the hood is a little long and I am not a fan of the rims 20" is a little too big I like to see some rubber on muscle cars, 18"s I always felt are the largest rim that should be put on a mustang or any car for that matter 20" + is meant for trucks and SUV's

Maybe if you fill those useless holes in on the Saleen rear bumper, it might help the rear end tremendously. I don't know that the Saleen S281 bumper is the right bumper for this kit, though. It's a retro kit. The retro Stangs had small rear ends. The new Stangs rear ends are already large. The Saleen S281 rear end makes it larger. The California Special rear end, or Saleen Heritage rear end would probably be a better choice.

Again, these are only our opinions. Either way, there's a lot of hard work in the car, and fit and finish look fantastic.

We agree. the useless holes in the bumper are going away and the center exhaust is going to change, the rear of the car is a real challenge since it is soooo tall to begin with. We started with the saleen unit because we needed the recessed tail panel look to accommodate the thickness of the billet overlay. We put the license plate back down into the bumper cover so we could keep the lines of the aluminum panel. We are reworking the hood and rear bumper covers now, hopefully in a week or so I'll have something everyone will like a little better. Thanks again for the input.
p.s. We shortened the hood 2" after these photos were taken, it kinda had a "beak"...T
