Nice work and idea. I probably wouldn't do it to my own car, but more power to him.

Does the vert brace need removing for the lt to fit on a vert?

I'm curious about this. If you run the lower engine mounts IIRC they were the old vert motor mounts with the 5.0 long tubes would you still have to cut the floor pan or would they hug the pan closely without cutting. Of course you would still have to have a custom mid pipe.

BTW I don't have a 351 mustang but this seemed interesting

that seems like way to much work just to not scrape long tubes.

Yes and no. When I bought my car it had long tubes and the x brace had been cut and re-welded to fit. Since I redid the motor and got new motor mounts, even the modified brace won't fit. There's a lot of guys with verts not running with the x brace with no problem.

I had a 351w in my 95 coupe with accufab custom headers. They did not hang low....IIRC they definately werent the lowest point on the car. Didn't have any scraping issues thatdidnt already exist with the 302 combo before.

It is a nice mod though

Yeah that is a lot of work, but I would like to see what the H pipe is gonna look like . Those headers look like there awfully close to the floor board.
