Hi all. Don't own a Mustang yet, but I'm getting seriously tempted! ;) I'm trying to decide between looking for a slightly-used '08-'10 GT, or a new '11 GT. I heard about StangNet while watching ForumWars. The guy who trounced the 350Z was great! :nice:

I currently have an '07 Dodge Charger, V6, AWD with lots o' mods. Back in October I got a 1:58 lap time at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course with it! I also have a 2002 Miata that will be taking over for track duties, and I've run 3 seasons of autocross.

Obviously neither of those is what you would call "real fast". I think it's time I got a good V8 sports car! I'm not crazy about either the new Camaro or Challenger (they both have good and bad points, imo), but I do like the S197 Mustangs. :)

Joined here to find out more info. before I get serious about buying. The Mustang would be replacing the Charger as my daily driver. I drive both cars all year long. The AWD Charger obviously does great in the rain and snow, the Miata does quite well in snow with the 4 snow tires I have on it! :)

To be continued... :lurk:

My thanks to you for the Welcome!

I'm grateful for the succinct greetings, as I was expecting more of a vichyssoise of verbiage, considering your visage above. ;)

Verily, I too own a copy of that cinematic escapade upon which you have presented your character. :D

Thanks Howard. Actually, I just test-drove a 2011 GT Premium today! It was quite enjoyable. :D
(Kona Blue with Stone Leather. Me likey!)

I'll be checking with my insurance co. and running some numbers next week. ;)

I have now traded in my '07 V6, AWD Dodge Charger for this:

It's a 2011 Mustang, Kona Blue, GT Premium!

One of my local dealers had it for a great price, (gotta love year-end clearances!) and they (eventually) gave me the payment plan I was looking for.

I just brought the Blue Dragon home today. With all I've done with autocross and track days the last few years, I felt it was time to have one of the "faster" cars around, instead of one of the "slower" ones.

More pictures to follow... Now! :nice:
