Chiped piston

What do u guys think might of cause this to happen? I do have pi heads on my 97 gt but they have been on 4 over 12,000 miles with no problem then just out of blue the number 4 piston cracks on the corner of the piston. The heads look good with normal wear and tear. I'm going with a new block and forged interals with my pi heads.

Detonation would be my guess, but the stock pistons/rods are garbage (IMO)...

At least u are upgrading to a forged botol end so you can boos the $*** out of it
