I was wondering what chips people prefer. Specifically it would be for a pretty much stock (cai and exhaust only) 95 v6. and i'm trying to figure out which one i should go with.

it'd almost be a waste of money to get a chip with those 2 upgrades. If you have further upgrades, I could almost see using a chip.

Brands of chips don't matter......the programming is what kicks a$$

you only need a chip if your going n/a and have put on new heads intakes cam ect, or if your getting boost from turbo or supercharger, theres no real need for it right now

Go with a SCT chip... fordchip.com, velocitymotorsports.com, rpm-mustangs.com all sell them.

Far superior to Diablo, Autologic, etc.

i wouldn't chip the car either with only those two mods. you'll be disappointed in your gains if you do it now. you'll always want to get it reprogrammed if you ever mod any further.

before you buy a chip you should get an 8.8" rear with some 3.73, 4.10's, etc. and some under drive pulleys. then the chip would at least calibrate your speedo.

hey, crazy stang....

not to step on your toes, but you dont have a chip, and i dont know if you have tried one, but they are the best bang for buck, or hp for the dollar out there, it was the best thing i did on my ford truck, other than the 4:10 gears...

what else out there can promise atleast 20-25 hp and trq for under 300 dollars???

you would be rather lucky if you got that from an itake and exhaust.... and dont tell me you did, unless you have the papers to prove it.... ill call

it helps the tranny and increases the compressions ratio with an different timming for the premium fuel... and increases the shift points and takes away the speed gov.

it is the fastest growing mod out there, hell deisels get like 75-100hp for there chips, and there like 300$.... thats pretty dahm good if you ask me..

its on my list after i get my stereo in.

oh and viper: dont get the super chip, it runs rich.... get the ford chip, best out there, and i talk form exsperiance (with my truck anyways) i went supership to fordchip and it was worth the money.

if you are gonna get gears then wait on the chip, because you will have to reprogram it for the different ratio for speedo correction and thats like 140$ on average form most dealers...

chips are a waste of money until you have an actual need for one (blower or gears) you MIGHT get 8hp and 7tq from a chip MIGHT i would expect to pull 5 more hp and tq on the dyno with one.

I was referring to SCT- Superchip Custom Tuning... it is a seperate division of Superchip with Jerry, the brain beind Fordchip's work, and a few other experts. Don't confuse SCT with "Superchips"

Fordchip programming=SCT programming. Just for the record.
