I am plaining on doing a h/c/i I have a pair of used edelbrock performers that are slightly ported from a friend i am planing on using the edelbrock rpm2 intake what off the shelf cam do you guys sugest for the this set up may be a ford E cam?????

Most people here really like the FTI cam. I sorry I can't help you more. I don't really know a ton about chosing cams. Maybe the big dogs will know. Killercanary, Vib, etc.

I would go custom, whether it is Jay Allen, Ed Curtis or Buddy Rawls. Custom is the only way to go.

Hmm...Edelbrock heads, and a high(er) winding long runner intake manifold?

No one can suggest anything without knowing the details.

Weight?
Rear gear?
What kind of port work?
I assume they are the old style Eddy heads?
All other mods?
Goals?
I assume the car is driven daily?

For about ~$100 more, a custom cam is the only way to go. Since you're spending all that time tearing the engine apart, why not do it right?
