Just ordered my SB today. Was wondering how many CHP 306 owners are out there and what you think of yours?

Thanks.

Don't mind at all. I went with the 11773 Short block, 15cc dished probe pistons (for my TF TW heads and 15psi boost), main girdle, hi vol oil pump and pump shaft. The rest is standard with the 11773 set up. Including shipping to Abq (210) came to 2251.95

Yep, got pretty good 1st time dyno numbers but I made a mistake and programmed my Mallory for the wrong MAP sensor. I thought I got a 3 bar and it came with a 2 bar. So it wasn't pulling as much timing as I needed to and when I was showing off on the street it detonated and blew a head gasket. After getting that repaired I think I damaged a ring in the process. Since its got a 103K on the bottom end and we want to take the car to FFW Texas Thunder in the spring and run in real street, we decided to get a new bottom end.

Should make some pretty good numbers after this. Will know in about 4 weeks. Hey its only credit.....

Thats a good price for and all forged short block. I didn't think they ran that cheap. Ford Racing Performance parts has an all new forged short block for $2900
