I know you locked the thread on Classic v. Modern cars I wanted to post it on that thread but... This answers the question: IIHS pits a 1959 Chevy against its modern counterpart.

Um, Mike, that link was and still is posted in the locked thread, viewed and discussed ad nauseam by many. Since the 59 Chevy has no design similarity to Mustangs, which were built in a different decade, it is pointless. Tell ya what- you find a crash test showing a 65 Mustang, an things will get interesting.

The 59 Belair had that wonderful X frame design too

I could smash up aluminum foil into a more rugged design than that

WHY ARE YOU STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS?? The thread that was locked had no point, nor does this one.

Apparently Mike didn't read all of the prior thread, because the link he tried to post WAS already on it. Of course, with with 117 replies, he might have missed it, I suppose.

Lets be nice. Sometimes you get the beginner questions more than once.
