So I raided my pantry of household chemicals the other day and I came across a can of Brasso. Used it on my exhaust tips and OMG! It eats away the little black tar specs like nothing and it shines like crazy. Anyone else ever use this stuff?

Doesn't the SOS pad leave scratch marks? I've used very very fine steel wool on chrome before to remove rust and pitting, but SOS pads seem a little rough and the soap on their is baaaaaaaaad. Brasso is a metal polish....probably looks good, but not so sure how it might degrade the chrome eventually.
I might be hesitant on constantly using it on chrome, but my tips are polished stainless...
I got mine at Wal-Mart, paid just a couple bucks for it.....
