Cleaning o2's with propane torch??

Has any body heard of doing this? Does it work?

I did it...just torched the crap off. Didn't do much and I don't see how it could harm em? Mine were not acting up at all though. I just torched em when I did my H-pipe.

Just as long as I felt comfortable. You can see the gunk burning off. I just didn't wanna get em' glowin bacause I thought that might hurt them. It didn't take much though.

EDIT: I didn't notice any difference in the car after it was done (except the H-pipe ). And...my A/F gauge didn't change any.

if the a/f gauge didn't change, wouldn't that mean that it didn't do anything either way? or it did but it was negated by the h-pipe. we need something in a control type situation.

No, I just meant that I didn't "break" the O2's, since everything was the same as it was. I figured if I'd of cooked em' too much, my gauge wouldn't have been the same anymore.

It shouldn't really noticably help, unless you are REALLY in need of O2's, then i guess it may SLIGHTLY help.
