cleaning the mass air

You can use gasoline.what ever you end up using be sure you dont use and spray our touch the filiements becasue the extremely fragile.The best thing would be soap and warm water.just pour it through it and be very gentle so you dont break it.Why do you need to clean it?

electrical contact cleaner works. as said, dont touch it (some have broken them with cotton swabs, etc).

Does carb cleaner damage them?

nope , thats what i use . just hold it back a bit when spraying .

I personally would only use electronics cleaner. Those wires are pretty sensitive and carb cleaner is pretty harsh. I know plenty of people do it but i just think you should play it safe. You don't seen computer geeks using carb cleaner to clean their computers do you?
