In this article it says to clean the TB with carb cleaner:

http://www.muscularmustangs.com/tb.html

But I thought there was a big yellow sticker on the TB warning you not do that.

So can you or not? I'm not too into doing exactly the opposite of what big yellow stickers say.

There is a coating inside the TB that prevents buildup. If you use carb cleaner, it will remove this coating.

Just disconnect a vacuum line, and spray inside the hose.
