I wouldn't do anything that will lessen the briteness of the lights such as paint or tint IMO.
Blue would be cool on mine tho.

bigcat said:this is incorrect. they ARE STREET LEGAL IF:
you have the proper color bulb installed for the application. in the front, you cant have red or blue showing. in the rear, you cant have a white light shining. for the front, use an amber bulb and it will be legal. the color of the lens does not matter, its the color of the light emitted from the light. (now if you have a blue lens, then its obviously illegal) those ricers you see with blue bulbs in their turn signals are in violation of the law. period. if you have the proper color showing to the world, then you dont have a problem. it is when you alter the color of the light that you have a problem.
where is the disclaimer when you buy them then? how do they pass inspection? have you seen anyone get a ticket for improper lens color? no, they get tickets for improper lighting display or some legal term like that. its for the color, not the lens.Twofocused said:Incorrect again. Regardless of color, the lense MUST be DOT approved. I have never seen an aftermarket clear lense that replaces a amber or red one that is DOT approved.

yeah, were have been missing all the action here. not even anything about the spark plug problems you hadcleveland said:The funny thing is... I havent gotten into deeper detail about a project of mine than that tire valve cap install guide.
I've had more "firsts" with this car than others and I like to make the public aware of any issues that exist with a given project and offer decent "how-to" threads that inform.
Im still a bit upset how the admins had governed my threads and posts in the past but I have noticed Jenn taking better control where it was lacking with the others. IMO, The forum needed the fresh, sexy, meat.
With that stated, maybe I will pick up my very technical posts (here) yet again as more projects come my way.
