I was replacing my broken clutch cable and I noticed the plate that covers the clutch fork had been partially pushed off. So anyway, I replaced the cable with a Ford cable (UPR cables suck btw, I went through two). I go to put the plate back on and it will not go. For anyone who has done it, obviously this plate is child's play to put on and take off. This leads me to believe that my clutch fork has moved somehow. Can this happen??? I also have a lot of vibration in my clutch pedal now.

Can the clutch fork move? Sure - it's not really attached...when loose, it just sits on the pivot. I kinda scared myself when swapping the cable, but it should drop right back into place. Get back underneath there and be sure it's sitting properly...and adjust the cable while you're there. Do you have a firewall adjuster?

take the cable back off and make sure the clutch fork is sitting right.. if not wack it back into place... then when you put the cable back on if it vibrates thats because the cable is WAY WAY WAY too loose... tighten the clutch and you should be ok...
