My clutch is on its way out rather quickly and I need something soon. The car probably wont see any ridiculous horsepower in the future, supercharger maybe in the far future. I'm debating just going to the stealership and having them throw in a stock one, or going some aftermarket, spec stg 1 or centerforce 1 i'm thinkin. If I were to go that route, what else would I need to buy and where could I get it? Flywheel, throw out bearing...I don't know too much about the workings and all parts required for a new clutch assembly, some shop will do the install. This car is my DD and will be for a while, so I need something that can hold up to the heat and abuse of being daily driven. What do ya'll think?

Same boat, no mods. I just bought a FRPP nodular flywheel (mine has be resurfaced once), Centerforce DF, pilot bearing and TOB. It will be installed next week. Supposed to have great grip and light pedal.

I'va also heard good things about the 03-04 Cobra clutch and PP.

The stocker can hold a good deal, and can take a good bit of abuse too. I've been to the track many times on mine; 40k on my current clutch (OEM). I replaced it 2weeks after I got the car only because the TOB went bad so I did the clutch while the trans was out.

Get a flywheel, or have your stock one resurfaced. Might want to request pilot bearing and TOB replaced if they dont come with the replacement. Dealer might be the only place you'll get a warranty; dealer installed OEM will give you 12mo/12k mile warranty.

I was thinking of going with the stocker because of the warranty issue. I'm basically worried that if I go something other than stock it wont be able to hold up to my daily abuse. Anyone else run an aftermarket clutch in a daily driver? Also, anyone know how much a dealer will charge to put the stock clutch in with all the necessary stuff? I hate being a college student...

A stock clutch should last a minimum 100k miles.
Stop abusing it and drive well.
Im not saying stop driving with spirit but stop slipping the clutch or dumping it @5000rpm there is just no need.
If you can't change it your self have the shop that is doing the work surface the flywheel and install a stock replacement clutch.
I like LUK gold clutches but that is up to you.
They should replace the pilot bearing and to bearing at the same time.
Make sure they give you the old parts.

I bought the car at 67k and I don't know how the previous owner drove it, they can say whatever they want, but I still don't know. Now I just turned 91k, so its clutch time. Should I ask for the parts if the dealership does it? Or are they somewhat trustworthy... I mean, one dealership did scratch my roof...
