I have a weird problem. When I have the clutch pressed in, the car idles at 15-1600RPM. When I press it into the floor (literally as far as I can) it idles at 900 RPM??? Any suggestions?
The quick and easy way to dump the codes is in there too, and all you need to do it is a paper clip! The first two posts contain all the fixes & updates. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
this sounds like the exact problem i had with my car when i first bought it and i have been waiting to share my fix for about 5 years now. But let me ask you a question first does it only idle high when the clutch is pushed in. If it does this is how i fixed my problem, test and see if you have a ground at the TPS sensor. If you dont tap into the wire and ground it to the fire wall. But this is just quick fix. If that fixes it you will have to see why the ground went bad. I hope this helps and good luck.
