Or since you have to drop it just go get an OEM Ford one for 30 bux.

The TB on these cars continues to touch the pressure plate with the clutch out. I had to replace mine this past winter and added a return spring on the fork to pull the TB off the plate. Works great and the TB will last that much longer.

Not really. You might be able to get some grease up on the T/O bearing through the side opening where the release fork and cable connect. But it is doubtful it will be effective. You need to drop the transmission and simply replace the bearing before it gets bad enough to start wearing the pressure plate release fingers and you have to replace everything.

i sprayed mine with white lithium grease and its been quiet for about 4k miles now

Give it a try, as long as the bearing is just dry then the grease should work, if its siezed though, then its replacement time.
