Hey there. Looking for some advice regarding a noise in my transmission. T5 WC trans. Rattling sound coming from around bell housing at idle. Clutch in or out, does it under both conditions. Just took it out of storage and noticed the noise after it was running. Almost sounds like bearings but hard to decifer. Clutch feels fine. Goes into all gears and shifts smooth. Usually TOB noise would be changed by depressing the clutch i thought. Few additional points.. changed the fluid last season. Used recommended atf and I remember it working fine for remainder of the season. Starter stayed engaged and spinning when attempting to start it once, thought this was odd but maybe an issue with the teeth? Thanks in advance.

Pulled the starter. That was the culprit. Sounds like a spring or something let go in it. Replaced and now quiet again! Thankful it wasn't the transmission
