I put a T-5 in my '68 coupe in january. The clutch has slipped since day one. I checked to make sure the bolts were tight and that there was no grease ont he flywheel and such. Any ideas?

No play in the throw out bearing?
Clutch linkage adjustment would be a good place to look.

Got a cable clutch and I've adjusted it a good bit...but it slips in every gear...particularly bad in 5th. It's slipping to much for a cable adjustment. Throw out bearing is good as far as i can tell.

How much Free Play is in the clutch?
If the Throwout bearing is not completely backing off the pressure plate
then it could be your slipping problem.

Not alot of free play. I don't have to press the clutch much to disengage it.

There's your problem.
your petal should travel 1-11/2 inches before you have bearing pressure on the plate.

readjust your linkage.
