My car with a 99 Cobra bumper.

I took it off after my accident and went back to a GT bumper.

That looks fantastic!.. probably because it looks so much like my previous car. Did you switch back to the Gt bumper to save money, or to simply switch it up a little? My Gt received a Cobra bumper after an accident, but sometimes I did miss the standard bumper with Mach 1 chin.

:That's exactly it - without the factory 03/04 Cobra hood, you get a gap. The newly drilled holes should be about 3/4 an inch or so in front of the old holes. Test the fitment before you drill, and you'll be set.

No....just the opposite. GT hood and 03 Cobra bumper is a tight fit and might require the new holes for the bumper (mine fit tight, but still worked like bigoragnegt said, without the new mounting holes).

You get the gap when you use the GT bumper with a 03 Cobra hood.

Yeah, your right. I kept thinking about that, and what your saying makes sense. I have seen the mounting holes for the flares by the headlights redrilled inwards to get a better fit with the 03 bumper, and I assumed it pulled the bumper higher.

There is a guy in town with the R hood on the 03-04 bumper. I haven't gotten a chance to size up the lines as he has been driving by me everytime but I will say it looks absolutely SICK.

Think I saw a quote on modulardepot for about 460 for everything, bumper fogs, and all the bits to hook it up.

Found it:

No abnormal gaps in mine..
Just got to get it painted so i can get the rest of the stuff on it(fogs and spoiler).

I went with the cobra bumper because its needed to get the air flow i need.

TTT...so it is the general consensus that there is no need to drill to install the 03 Cobra bumper on a GT w/ the stock GT hood? And your saying you havre to drill to get the 03 cobra hood to line up w/ a 03 cobra bumper on a GT? That doesn't make much sense to me....??
