tmoss have you ever got that before and after dyno results on your ported stock lower and no other changes?tmoss said:The GT40/Cobra/Explorer intakes are lower priced used than the aftermarket stuff used or new normally and can make the same or better power (depending on other engine componants) as aftermarket intakes up to about the 300RWHP level. Take a look at these complied dyno results I have accumulated over the years - I have the dyno sheets for almost all of them...........

was the car set at 26* static timing, SPOUT out (locked out timing)? i cant imagine you could really run 26* base timing AND the puter allowing advance. sure the balancer's outer ring did not go south? then again, i guess you wold not ping under load if the clutch is slipping to all get out.raph130 said:it keeps pulling hard past 6k. is there a website that has sound clips of 5.0's running with different cams to make a comparison? i have read a few posts of other guys using a f cam on their stock motor having bad low end power.
and thats exactly what i have. im currently running stock 10* timing with 87 octane. when i bought the car it was on 26* base timing. its hard to compare the low end power before because the clutch was wasted.
i put 87 in the car when i first got it and had lots of detonation sounds and i thought the timing was just too high and brought it down to factory specs.
maybe now that i have a new clutch i could advance it again and see if it increases low end power. i get alot of bucking at idle to 1500rpms when im NOT on the gas. i read the fcam causes this. i was thinking of putting in a stock cam.
