Hey guys I have yet another question about the cobra upper intake.
Sorry i have no pics ,but here it goes.
There is a coolant line coming from your lower intake and going into that plate between the Tb and intake. With this cobra intake that plate is not used. What did you guys do about those coolant lines? If you blocked them off how and did it effect the cooling of the car?

Just block them off. For the line that goes into the lower intake, i just bought a plug and used that instead of the insert with the nipple.

For the line coming out of the heater tube, i cut the coolant line short and put a bolt in it and clamped it. Some guys will cut the nipple off and braze it over (done off the car)

It will not affect the cooling of the car at all. It's purpose on the stocmk intake is to cool the EGR spacer or for icing purposes. It's not used on the cobra

I did exactly that using the cut off hose and bolt method. As stated, it doesn't affect cooling in any way, shape or form. I'd recommend not closing off the nipple on the tube entirely, since you may want to switch to a different intake down the road.

I used a brass fitting (plug) on the intake and cut off the little "nipple" on the heater pipe and welded it shut.
