Getting ready to install Cobra intake and new throttle body, will the bolts from my factory intake work with the cobra or should i get a new bolt kit?? Thanks for any help
Your going to need the kit. The center stock bolts are to short to use on the cobra, plus the cobra uses real long bolts on the driverside as opposed to the stock ones.
Like stated the 2 long upper intake bolts are different for sure but the rest of the upper intake bolts might also be different. If you bought the FRPP intake kit it should come with the upper intake bolts if not you can use the upper intake bolts from an explorer 5.0. intake from a junk yard if you can find them. I believe the 2 long bolts are 6 1/2" L 5/16NC. You can use the stock bolts for lower intake. If you got a replica intake vs teh real cobra intake I would call ford racing and get the free baffle to put in before the insatll to stop it from sucking oil into the intake...known problem for the replica's.
Id actually recommend the Explorer intake bolts. They are alot stronger than the aluminum bolts supplied in the kit. You can easily stretch those with minimal effort.
